The Sandstone Suite is located on the second floor of the Main Street Marketplace in historic downtown Amherst. Located right at the famous 5 Points intersection, you will be within walking distance to all of Amherst's favorite hot spots.
The Sandstone Suite uses a self check-in system so you may arrive anytime after 3:00pm. If you would prefer to have a staff member greet you, please let us know. Check-in instructions, driving directions and entertainment information will be emailed to you 2-3 days prior to check-in.
A two-night minumum stay is required. A four-night minimum is required for Oberlin College Graduation. See below for more information regarding select Oberlin College events.
The Sandstone Suite is a vacation rental-type property and does not include breakfast or daily maid service. There are several wonderful breakfast restaurants within walking distance including Arabica Coffee House and Ziggy's Pub.
A reserved off-street parking spot is included with room rate.
Smoking is permitted on first floor deck.
The room rate sleeps up to four people. Additional guests are not premitted. Children of all ages are welcome to stay in the Sandstone Suite. Please note: the Sandstone Suite has not been child-proofed (plug covers, stairs, sharp corners, etc). Please call for more information.
The owners of the Sandstone Suite work very hard to keep our room rates affordable. With this in mind, the Suite reserves the right to charge for any items that must be replaced or repaired due to extreme neglect during your stay. We simply ask that you treat the Sandstone Suite with respect and care and leave it in the condition in which it was found.
All cancellations are subject to a $50 fee. Cancellations made less than 8 days (1 month for holidays/special events) in advance of the arrival date will be responsible for their entire stay unless the suite is rebooked. Credit cards will be processed on the arrival date. Personal checks are welcome and appreciated when received at least 30 days in advance of arrival. Guests are responsible for all nights reserved.
Parents Weekend and Freshman Orientation: Non-refundable pre-payments (by check or money order) are required:
Orientation - $100 deposit due within 14 days of reservation; balance due by July 15
Parents Weekend - $100 deposit due within 14 days of reservation; balance due by Oct 1
Oberlin College Graduation: Reservations are accepted for Graduation beginning at 12:00pm on June 1 of the prior year (i.e. reservations for May 2016 will be accepted beginning June 1, 2015). A four-night minimum stay is required for Oberlin College Graduation and/or Memorial Day weekend. Non-refundable pre-payments (by check or money order) are required with 50% due by January 15 and the balance due by April 15.
Cancellations for these events made prior to the first payment date will be charged a $100 rebooking fee. If payments are not received by requested dates, your reservation will be given to another Oberlin College family.
